From photo to clay
A familiar look, shaped slowly by hand.
Your photographs are the starting point. The artist studies the face, markings, posture and small details that make your pet recognizable, then interprets them in clay and color.

Inside the studio
Made by hand, one detail at a time.
Every piece passes through many small decisions. These clips show the real sculpting and painting work behind a PetCera keepsake.
Shape
Form the features in clay
The artist builds the face and body by hand, adding the ears, muzzle, fur texture and posture a little at a time.
Paint
Layer the markings and expression
Fine brushes build the coat pattern, eye color and expression. Slight variations in every brushstroke are part of the handmade character.
Before and after firing
Clay changes in the kiln.
The dry piece is painted, glazed and kiln-fired. Heat brings depth to the color and gives the ceramic its finished surface. Small shifts in glaze and tone are natural, so no two pieces are identical.
The result is a recognizable artist-made interpretation, not a factory replica.
